What exactly is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It's basically the process of optimizing all of your web content so the search engines display it as a prominent result when someone conducts a search using a particular keyword.
What is an SEO strategy?
SEO strategy is all about knowing what people are looking for when they perform a search on Google or Yahoo! It's not about fancy titles or long sentences. It is about making use of keywords wisely and doing it correctly.
How do I develop one?
Build a list of keywords. Your SEO strategy should start with a list of keywords that you want to rank well for. What this means is that you need to think like a customer. Instead of simply optimizing for a particular set of words (such as "online shopping"), try to think like a customer browsing the internet. What would you type into Google? Think about how you'd phrase some of your keywords and try to include some of those words and phrases within your website text.
Make sure that your website is structured properly. Search engines will rank a website by the number of backlinks it has. A backlink is a link from one website to another. Using a link to the other website, the first website refers to the other website and allows readers to click and visit that website. That referring link is a backlink. The more backlinks a webpage has, the higher its page ranking.
Build and regularly update your site. Your website needs to be given considerable time and attention if you want SEO to be successful. You simply need to spend time optimizing for long-tail keywords. These are the phrases that people put into search engines. In this process, make sure to use a combination of content, headers, and images, as well as keywords in your meta tags. Once your website is optimized for long-tail keywords, you will experience an increase in organic traffic.
Search engines are constantly changing their algorithms so it is essential that you stay up to date with the current trends.
Are there any tools I can use?
Yes! These are the tools I use and recommend for effective and efficient SEO. In full disclosure, the link to Article Forge is an affiliate link, but I use it myself which is why I am promoting it. The other two are FREE. Using all these tools combined, I am generating around 5 - 10 articles per month. I generate them, put them in my content calendar pipeline, and publish them on the day they are due.
People Also Ask - This is a free tool that’s part of the Use Topic family. I love, love, love this tool. I use it to generate long-tail keywords by researching what people are searching for on search engines.
Article Forge - After I generated some ideas from my keyword research I need to write them but I also want to run my business and not spend all day writing blog posts. That’s where Article Forge comes in. Now I just fill in the keywords and sub-keywords I want the article to be about and Article Forge writes it for me. I have paid for blog writers before and this online tool saves me hundreds of dollars a month.
Wordtune - I use the free version right now but at 10 bucks a month, I will most likely upgrade eventually. While Article Forge creates the blog articles using AI, the articles do not capture my voice and tone. It does an amazing job, but sometimes, the sentences could be simplified and humanized. That’s where Wordtune comes in. I use it directly in Google Docs. I go through the AI-generated articles and use Wordtune to rephrase, rewrite and reorder sentences. The result is a polished, easy-to-read article.
